Well one thing is for sure they both seem to be quite the happy bunch and very cute and unique looking OC's here happy-heart-1, wow!
Granted one of them is from your friend but either way this definitely is something new in regards to what we're used to see from the MLP show in regards to the looks of the mane 6 and the other background characters. Very much like the whole look and design of them with their anthro charms of the more human styled bodies but adding in that of the pony attributes just for some extra fun. And that you do splendidly with your lines here as you seem to have a good knowledge on your anatomy as well as a nice style that gives them a bit of anime cuteness that adds to their charm.
Speaking of charm though I much like the charm of the way their posed in the pic here, almost like a photo done from a camera. The way they're very nicely closely sided together or just the way they both seem to have that happy grin on their faces. And job well done on the way their next to one another. Have seen times where two characters are supposed to be show together and there's too much a gap in between them. That's not the case here but kudos all the same to keep note of small things like that in your work happy-heart-1.
Also should include a great job on the coloring, having a very soft and warm feel to everything that can be seen. The skin has some nice articulation with the way you use some of the lighting to illustrate some detail like the collarbone or the neck. You even include some nice shading to go along with that like the way you show the braids of the hair, the bends and folds in the clothing, to even the way the eyes really seem to have a beautiful shine to them, well done! o0o
And quick final thumbs up on the way their eyes very much variate in regards to their colors, another unique thing about these two OC's. Might question a bit about the snake tongue for one of them but overall this is wonderful work of art and its done very well for your friend happy-heart-1, you should be proud. ^_^
